Supporters of a local animal rights activist in jail for trespassing at a Wegmans egg farm have scheduled a vegetarian barbecue to raise funds for his legal campaign.

Adam Durand has served a month in jail on a six-month sentence for trespassing.
Lunch, prepared by Soy Boy, will cost $7 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12. The event is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Canalside Pavilion in Genesee Valley Park.
