Mixed verdict in Wegmans egg farm case

A mixed verdict Thursday in the trial against a Rochester man accused of breaking into a Wegmans chicken farm.

Adam Durand was accused of breaking into the Wegmans egg farm in Wolcott, Wayne County and filming a documentary about alleged cruel conditions at the facility.

Durand was found guilty of trespassing, but was acquitted of burglary and petit larceny.

In a statement, Wegmans responds, "We are very glad that this chapter in a nearly two year saga has ended."

Durand will be sentenced May 16th.
