"Putting People Over Poultry?" No, that's not the issue. We're not deciding whether to rescue a child or a hen from a fire. We're torturing hens because we like the taste of their eggs. That violates the most basic precepts of decency and morality.
Once again, the Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) deceives. The CCF, which once ran a major ad campaign claiming that the obesity epidemic was just hype, and which has fought Mothers Against Drunk Driving, is not interested in consumers. Consuming, maybe, but not consumers. I can't imagine being like them - vigorously defending cruelty, denying it when you see it, and being completely indifferent to the suffering of animals.
